Anstruther to Pittenweem and back - 17 July, 2025
Taking the Fife Coastal path a short way from Anstruther to the next town down the coast, there was a golf course beside the trail half the way. Then lovely Pittenweem, a working fisheries village, and I thought I'll just go see what's up around the bend, up that next bluff. The views and the seals and the old stone swimming pool filled by the tide. Across the North Sea looking towards Edinburgh, you could see the Isle of May (a 9th century hermitage site), a nuclear power station, a cement plant, and the medieval castle Tantallon.
